About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients’ status, plans of care, and progress toward goals. Care is provided compassionately, professionally, ethically, and knowledgeably, based on the Caring Model and in accordance with Rush Copley’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. The nurse upholds ethical and safe practices and prioritizes patient care. This position works closely with the multidisciplinary team and requires awareness of professional limitations, including seeking advice, judgment, or support when necessary.

Registered Nurse/Medical Office duties include telephone triage according to established practice guidelines, patient education, medication refills, and administering injections as necessary.

Requirements

• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• CPR required.
• BSN degree required within five years of hire if not already obtained.
• ACLS required in Critical Care and ER areas.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patients’ status, plans of care, and goal achievement.
• Provide compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable patient care in accordance with the Caring Model and organizational policies and values.
• Uphold ethical and safe processes while prioritizing patient care.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team and seek advice, judgment, or support when necessary.
• Perform telephone triage according to established practice guidelines.
• Educate patients.
• Handle medication refills.
• Administer injections as necessary.
