About The Position

IU Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Labor and Delivery department at IU Health Fishers. The unit has 4 OB ED beds, 12 LDRP rooms, and 2 OR suites. It provides Level 2 LDRP care, including care for some high-risk patients, and has an anesthesiologist and OB provider on-site 24/7. Patients receive care throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery, and the postpartum period.

The role offers opportunities to develop clinical expertise in OB procedures, patient triage, and care across all phases of pregnancy and delivery. The unit promotes autonomy, collaboration with physicians, committee involvement, and professional growth. The position is full-time, day shift, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• At least one year of RN experience.
• Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) is required.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates who do not meet this requirement may be considered if they have more than two years of acute care experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Active Registered Nurse license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of labor and delivery experience.
• Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities
