About The Position

Saint Luke's North Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Labor and Delivery/Postpartum Care Team. The role provides care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and some gynecological patients. The nurse functions independently and is accountable for using the nursing process, coordinating care for a group of patients with the multidisciplinary team, and delegating tasks appropriately. The nurse identifies hospital resources, serves as a clinical resource for new employees, and demonstrates formal or informal leadership within the unit or department.

This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week night position. The schedule includes four weekend shifts and two on-call shifts per six-week schedule period.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of applicable experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse qualification/license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and some GYN patients.
• Use the nursing process and function independently and accountably.
• Coordinate care for a group of patients with the multidisciplinary team.
• Delegate tasks appropriately.
• Identify hospital resources.
• Serve as a clinical resource for new employees.
• Demonstrate positive formal or informal leadership within the unit or department.
