About The Position

Mount Carmel Care Center is a faith-based, non-profit, 69-bed long-term care facility in the Berkshires, sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. The facility is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide resident care in a mission-oriented environment. All shifts are available, with full-time and part-time schedules offered. Compensation is $38.50–$47.50 per hour based on experience, with additional shift differentials of $2 and $4. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time hires. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Unit/Shift Supervisor with identifying problems and developing correction plans.
• Check on ill residents early in the shift, conduct periodic assessments, and report changes.
• Assess resident care needs for the Minimum Data Set, Resident Assessment protocols, and interdisciplinary care plans.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions and document them in the medical record.
• Administer and record prescribed medications and treatments.
• Assess residents on admission and initiate an interim care plan.
• Provide emergency care as needed, report to the supervisor, and submit complete, accurate, and timely incident reports.
• Supervise and delegate.
