About The Position
Life Care Center of Valparaiso is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing care to patients and help them attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. The RN assesses patient needs on an ongoing basis and revises care plans as patients’ conditions change. The role also provides daily clinical supervision to CNAs and LPNs and involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to full-time team members.
Requirements
- Nursing diploma or associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Currently licensed or registered in the applicable state; must maintain an active Registered Nurse license in good standing throughout employment.
- CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation, and maintained as current during employment.
- Ability to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
Nice To Haves
- One year of skilled nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care to patients through interpersonal contact.
- Assess patient needs on an ongoing basis and revise care plans based on changes in condition.
- Provide daily clinical supervision to CNAs and LPNs.
- Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
