About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is part of ProMedica’s patient care team and provides patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for diverse experiences. The RN coordinates the patient’s plan of care, communicating with patients, families, and the health care team through open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. The RN assesses patients, formulates nursing diagnoses, and plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of care plans. The role works collaboratively with nurses and support staff to achieve patient care goals and contribute to improvements in patient care, the work environment, and patient and staff satisfaction. This position is in the Surgery department at Toledo Hospital and works afternoon shifts.

Requirements

Current CPR training.
Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
Ability to respond effectively and efficiently to critical situations involving patients, personnel, and visitors in a professional manner.
Ability to function in a team environment.
Sound clinical skills and judgment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate patients’ plans of care.
Assess patients and formulate nursing diagnoses.
