ICU Registered RN Full Time Night Shift ICU RN
About The Position
Peterson Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit on the night shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The RN is accountable for the quality of care provided to patients and their families in accordance with nursing practice standards and Peterson Health’s mission, vision, values, and behavioral expectations. The nurse assesses and reassesses patients; plans care addressing spiritual, emotional, physiological, and psychosocial needs; evaluates and documents responses in patient records; and ensures the plan of care is carried out through direct care and/or appropriate delegation to unit personnel. A sign-on bonus is currently available for qualifying full-time RNs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Knowledge and ability to perform skills necessary for unit-specific competencies.
- Current Texas Registered Nurse licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification; if not currently certified, complete ACLS within six months of employment and renew within two months of the recommended renewal date.
- Knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
- One year of experience as an RN on a medical/surgical unit.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- PALS certification.
- CCRN certification.
- Previous experience as an RN in an Intensive Care Unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient and family care according to the Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Assess and reassess each patient.
- Plan care addressing patients’ spiritual, emotional, physiological, and psychosocial needs.
- Evaluate and document patient responses in the medical record.
- Carry out the plan of care through nursing practice and/or appropriate delegation to unit personnel.
