About The Position

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines, using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

The role is based at Adventist Health Hanford, a 173-bed hospital serving Kings County and the Central Valley.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy is required.
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification is required for the department.
• Associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develop plans prescribing interventions to attain outcomes; implement plans, coordinate care delivery, and use strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
• Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes and identify outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
• Provide learning opportunities and health information to patients, family members, and team members.
• Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
