About The Position

Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age, following established competencies, standards, and practices. Supports the mission, policies, and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Possession of a current Texas State Registered Nurse license or current eligibility for state board certification.
• BLS certification obtained through approved American Heart Association Training or the Military Training Network.
• For Surgery Services, ACLS is required and must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into the unit.
• For Post Anesthesia, PALS is required and must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into the unit.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Completion of a peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course.
• Surgery: CNOR board eligible or certified.
• Post Anesthesia: CPAN board eligible or certified.
• GI Lab: SGNA board eligible or certified.
