RN, Registered Nurse | Obstetrics & Nursery
About The Position
Emplify Health by Gundersen is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Obstetrics & Nursery Unit, also described as the Mother Baby unit. The role supports new mothers and families as they transition into parenthood, caring for mothers and newborns and providing education to help families care for their babies. The position is 0.9 FTE, scheduled for 72 hours every two weeks, with 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Staff work every third weekend and two holidays per year. The unit is collaborative and welcomes new staff and students, with support from departmental leadership and access to a Career Development Center. Emplify Health is a not-for-profit, patient-centered healthcare network formed through a partnership of Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System, based in Green Bay and La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Requirements
- Current RN license to work in Wisconsin.
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers.
Nice To Haves
- RN experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care to new mothers and their babies.
- Assist and educate mothers on breastfeeding.
- Care for antepartum patients, including fetal monitoring and extended-recovery patients.
- Provide patient education and instructions for going home.
