Registered Nurse (RN) - Obstetrics
About The Position
The Registered Nurse of Maternity Services reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Using the nursing process, the nurse provides high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care and coordinates care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families. The nurse communicates the patient's clinical condition as appropriate and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The role requires knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the skills to provide age-appropriate care to the population served. The nurse promotes the nursing profession and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. This position is with Hartford HealthCare's Greater Manchester Region, which includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rockville General, a multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current licensure in the state of Connecticut.
- ACLS and NRP certification upon hire, or obtain both within one year after hire, and maintain clinical competency during employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire, or obtain it during the new employee introductory orientation period, and maintain clinical competency during employment.
- Electric Fetal Monitoring Certification within one year after hire.
