About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Tele) assignment in Olathe, Kansas. The assignment is for a 16-week duration on a 3x12-night shift in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. The weekly pay ranges from $2,035 to $2,056 per week with no guaranteed hours. This is a temporary assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Orientation and credentialing are included, with 8 hours of non-billable orientation and Epic training.

Requirements

Active Kansas Registered Nurse license and BLS certification.
Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience; 2–5 years preferred.
Proficiency with cardiac medications, post-procedure care, and related protocols (TR Band initiation/removal, cardiac drips).
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3 nights per week) and a travel assignment; willingness to float to all acute care units.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program; stoically manage the care needs of telemetry patients.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients in a short-term acute care setting.
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry data, and respond to arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes.
Administer cardiac medications per protocol (e.g., anticoagulants, diuretics, antiarrhythmics) and manage drips as applicable.
Assist with post-procedure care, including TR Band management and related monitoring.
Document assessments, vitals, and care plans in EPIC EMR; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; educate patients and families.
Maintain patient safety and infection control, with the ability to float to other acute care units as needed.
