About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent treatment throughout patients’ recovery. The role includes receiving admissions and transfers, assessing patients, documenting care, interpreting clinical data, processing orders, responding to emergencies, and educating patients and families. Both day and night shifts are available in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Compensation is $41.22 to $55.50 per hour based on experience, with shift differentials for nights and weekends.

Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required at hire.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Document care accurately and promptly using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
