About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital-Downriver is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment throughout patients’ care. The role is located in Wyandotte, Michigan, and is full-time with both shifts available. Compensation is up to $52.00 per hour, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification is required at hire.
ACLS certification is required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
