About The Position

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital, affiliated with Select Medical, is hiring a Registered Nurse in Jacksonville, Florida, for a per-diem position with day and night shifts available. The hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The role includes an extensive orientation program. Per-diem employees may be considered for potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem positions are eligible for a 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours within the employee’s first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• BLS certification required at hire.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program.
• Clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
