Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Cardiology, Weekend Option
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while helping create a safe patient environment and a positive patient experience across the continuum of care. The position is on the 30-bed 7Heart unit, which cares for patients with acute and chronic conditions, including congestive heart failure and cardiology patients requiring diagnostic testing and interventions for atrial fibrillation and other dysrhythmias. The unit also treats patients with other organ system diseases and supports medical/surgical overflow patients.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association, required or expected within six months of hire.
