Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Behavioral Health
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassionate and skilled communication, and leadership to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The position is based in the 24-bed Adult Behavioral Health Unit at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The unit cares for adults experiencing acute psychiatric conditions and emphasizes stabilization through trauma-informed, patient-centered approaches. Nurses work as part of a multidisciplinary team to foster a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and supports patients in achieving their goals.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- At least one year of RN experience.
