About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides, promotes, and maintains quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures through education, standards of practice, professional growth, and collaboration with multidisciplinary health care providers. The role includes developing and documenting plans of care, delivering age-appropriate patient interventions, responding to emergencies, verifying orders and related procedural information, and following medication and IV therapy policies.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Nursing.
Monitor experience or completion of an EKG course.
Valid permanent Multi-State RN License from the state of residence. Nurses holding an RN license from another Compact state must apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from their state of residence within 30 days.
American Heart Association BLS CPR certification, to be obtained within 7 days of hire.
American Heart Association ACLS and PALS, CPI, and NIHSS, required within the orientation period.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in acute care, critical care, or an emergency department.
ENPC, TNCC, or CEN certification.

Responsibilities

Initiate and document a written plan of care within the specified timeframe.
Perform patient interventions completely and proficiently and demonstrate age-specific competency for the population served.
Provide appropriate treatment in emergency situations.
Verify orders for accuracy during hospitalization, including medication reconciliation, scheduling of tests and procedures, preoperative data, and consent forms.
Follow medication and IV therapy policies, including patient identification, medication education and administration, and recognizing and reporting interactions.
Monitor first-dose medications for adverse reactions.
Perform related duties as required.
