About The Position
Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Mental Health Float Pool at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The unit serves a wide spectrum of behavioral health patients, including children and adolescents, adults, and seniors. The position is 0.7 FTE (56 hours every two weeks), working an 8-hour night shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and every other weekend.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- 1–3 years of ECT experience.
- Geriatric psychiatry experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical and mental health needs to inform care planning, drawing on knowledge of disease processes, therapies, complications, and expected outcomes for the patient population.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and comprehensive plans of care.
- Administer medications according to behavioral patient management policy, applying knowledge of medication actions, contraindications, side effects, and desired outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions in meeting patients’ emotional, psychological, and physical needs and revise interventions based on outcomes.
