About The Position

CLFC Healthcare and Communications is hiring experienced Registered Nurses for per diem work at Wayne County's 192-bed county skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Lyons, New York. The facility is rated High Performing in Long-Term Care by U.S. News Best Nursing Homes 2025. This is an on-site, W-2 hourly position with shifts chosen by the nurse and no minimum hours. Nurses may work two shifts a month or twenty, while keeping another job or making this their main role. Available shifts include days, evenings, and nights, with eight paid hours per shift and a half-hour unpaid meal break; twelve-hour shifts may also be available. The stated shift times are 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, and 10:30 PM–7:00 AM. Compensation is $52.00–$58.00 per hour, with experience determining placement within the range and nights and weekends paid at the top of the range. Overtime over 40 hours and all ten County holidays are paid at time and a half. Pay is weekly, and orientation hours are paid at the nurse's rate. If a confirmed shift is canceled by the facility two hours or less before it starts, the nurse is paid for four hours; with more notice, the shift is removed from the schedule. Paid sick leave accrues under New York law, and CLFC provides professional liability insurance for every shift. The role includes carrying a resident assignment, directing LPNs and CNAs, and serving as unit charge nurse when assigned. Nursing leadership is on site. CLFC arranges and pays for fingerprinting, immunizations, screening, and license verification. New York license renewal and CPR renewal are reimbursed, continuing education and certifications are supported, and tuition assistance of up to $1,500 per year is available toward a BSN. A $500 referral bonus is offered for referring a nurse or aide. Program terms are provided in writing before acceptance. Shifts are listed in the BRIDGE App, where nurses select shifts and receive confirmation. A Program Manager is available to address scheduling and pay questions. CLFC staffs nursing and clinical roles for government healthcare clients nationwide and gives existing roster members consideration for new assignments.

Requirements

Hold a current, unrestricted New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Hold current BLS (CPR).
Have one year of recent RN experience.
Be able to complete the New York State Department of Health Criminal History Record Check and a drug screen.
Be current on immunizations required by New York for nursing home personnel.

Responsibilities

Carry a resident assignment, including assessments, medication administration, treatments, and responding to changes in condition.
Direct the LPNs and CNAs on the unit and serve as charge nurse for the unit when assigned.
Maintain current records, including MDS-related documentation, care plan updates, and shift reports in the facility's system.
Serve as a point of contact for residents, families, and providers during the shift.
Follow the facility's infection control, safety, and sign-in practices.
