About The Position

Inova Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care to patients during vulnerable periods and support their treatment throughout recovery. The position is full-time on days in Alexandria, Virginia, with compensation of $46.41–$62.50 per hour and a $20,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required at hire.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including labs and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
