About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate, excellent treatment to patients throughout their recovery. The position is based in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and is scheduled for three 12-hour day shifts per week. Compensation is $41.22 to $55.50 per hour, based on experience, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required at hire.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence during Rapid Response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
