Registered Nurse (RN) | Baldwin State Prison | $41-$46 an hour | Part-time
About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide holistic, patient-centered nursing care to an incarcerated population at Baldwin State Prison in Hardwick, Georgia. The RN works within their scope of practice under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address patients’ medical, mental health, and psychosocial needs. The role offers a structured clinical environment with established policies and workflows, a dedicated security presence, clear patient accountability, and limited family or visitor interactions. This position is part-time, working 28 hours per week on a day shift, generally 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends. Compensation is $41–$46 per hour.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia, or an active multistate/Compact license.
- Current, active CPR certification.
- Ability to obtain required security clearance, including a drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and appropriately report changes.
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow established safety, security, and infection-control procedures.
