About The Position

Wilson Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Endoscopy service. The nurse performs patient assessments, identifies patient needs, initiates appropriate nursing interventions, and provides care suited to each patient’s condition and age. The role includes timely, appropriate documentation related to medical necessity, post-procedure and recovery care, and patient education and advocacy. The schedule is varied days, with rotating call, weekends, and holidays. The position is in person.

Requirements

Current state RN license.
Degree from an accredited nursing school.
Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of Endo experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
Provide care appropriate to the patient’s condition and age.
Complete timely and appropriate medical-necessity documentation in the medical record.
Provide post-procedure and recovery care.
Provide patient education and advocacy.
