About The Position

Texas Health Fort Worth is hiring a full-time, day-shift Registered Nurse (RN II) for its Surgery department. The role delivers patient care using the Nursing Process, including assessment, care planning, appropriate intervention, and evaluation of outcomes. The nurse incorporates age-specific safety and infection-control measures, addresses patients’ and significant others’ information needs, and maintains continuity of care across shifts, hospitals, and out-of-hospital transfers. The department averages 75 surgeries per day and provides experience with high-acuity, complex surgical procedures. Surgical offerings include robotics, complex spine and orthopedic trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases. Texas Health Fort Worth is an 851-bed, Magnet-designated hospital and Level I Trauma Center.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing.
One year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program.
Current RN licensure upon hire.
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) before providing independent patient care, maintained quarterly.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Operating Room experience.
