Registered Nurse, RN (Full Time-Days)- Ambulatory Surgery
About The Position
Texas Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for Ambulatory Surgery at Texas Health Dallas in Dallas, Texas. The position is 40 hours per week, with variable days and varied shifts between 5:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and an occasional Saturday requirement. The nurse delivers patient care using the Nursing Process, incorporates age-specific safety and infection-control measures, responds to patients’ and significant others’ information needs, and helps maintain continuity of care across shifts, hospitals, and out-of-hospital transfers. The role is supported by an engaged leadership team and a strong Unit Based Council.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing program or completion of a Diploma Nurse Program.
- At least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification before providing independent patient care, maintained quarterly.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Ambulatory experience helpful.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Assess patients.
- Plan patient care.
- Intervene as appropriate.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Incorporate age-specific safety and infection-control measures into patient care.
- Initiate action to meet patients’ and/or significant others’ need for information.
- Maintain continuity of patient care across shifts and hospitals, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
