About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients in the Ambulatory Surgery unit at Texas Health Dallas. The role delivers care using the Nursing Process: assessing patients, planning and providing care, intervening as appropriate, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions. The nurse incorporates age-specific safety and infection-control measures, responds to patients’ and significant others’ needs for information, and maintains continuity of care across shifts and hospitals and during transfers out of the hospital. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with variable days. Shifts vary between 5:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an occasional Saturday requirement. Ambulatory experience is helpful. The role is supported by an engaged leadership team and a robust Unit Based Council.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited nursing program or completion of a diploma nurse program.
At least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting.
Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification before providing independent patient care, maintained quarterly.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Ambulatory experience helpful.
