About The Position

Texas Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Surgery department at Texas Health Frisco. The position is 36 hours per week on days, Monday through Friday, with on-call coverage one weekend day and two weekdays per month. The surgery unit has eight operating rooms, including three robotic operating rooms, and is a center of excellence for bariatric surgery. The Registered Nurse delivers patient care using the Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse incorporates age-specific safety and infection-control measures, responds to patients’ and significant others’ information needs, and maintains continuity of care between shifts and hospitals and during out-of-hospital transfers.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited nursing program or a nursing diploma.
At least one year of experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
Registered Nurse (RN) license required upon hire.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
At least one year of hospital operating room experience, preferably with robotics, spine, or orthopedics.
CNOR certification.
