About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Atlanta, GA. The contract duration is 14 weeks, starting on 10/05/2026. The role is hospital-based and involves caring for adult PCU patients, including those with cardiac conditions and requiring post-event monitoring. The position guarantees 36 hours per week with night shifts, consisting of 12-hour shifts (3 nights per cycle).

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a facility of similar size
Documented PCU telemetry experience with cardiac patient population; ability to manage cardiac drips and complex monitoring
Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity PCU/IMCU setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to complete required demographic and badge documentation per client requirements

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for adult PCU patients, including those with cardiac conditions (STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain) and post-event monitoring
Maintain continuous telemetry monitoring, perform frequent assessments, document findings, and promptly respond to deteriorations
Administer cardiac medications and infusions as ordered (Milrinone, Dobutamine, vasopressors) and titrate per protocol
Collaborate with cardiology, physicians, and the broader care team; participate in rounds and care planning
Ensure patient safety and comfort; uphold BLS/ACLS protocols; respond to emergencies and codes as needed
Documentation of assessments, interventions, care plans, and discharge planning; provide patient and family education
