About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Atlanta, GA. The contract duration is 14 weeks, starting on 10/05/2026. The role is hospital-based and involves caring for adult PCU patients, including those with cardiac conditions and requiring post-event monitoring. The position guarantees 36 hours per week with night shifts, consisting of 12-hour shifts (3 nights per cycle).

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a facility of similar size
  • Documented PCU telemetry experience with cardiac patient population; ability to manage cardiac drips and complex monitoring
  • Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity PCU/IMCU setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to complete required demographic and badge documentation per client requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care for adult PCU patients, including those with cardiac conditions (STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain) and post-event monitoring
  • Maintain continuous telemetry monitoring, perform frequent assessments, document findings, and promptly respond to deteriorations
  • Administer cardiac medications and infusions as ordered (Milrinone, Dobutamine, vasopressors) and titrate per protocol
  • Collaborate with cardiology, physicians, and the broader care team; participate in rounds and care planning
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort; uphold BLS/ACLS protocols; respond to emergencies and codes as needed
  • Documentation of assessments, interventions, care plans, and discharge planning; provide patient and family education
