About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting, based in Moses Lake, Washington. The role involves blending caregiving and care management for a defined group of patients, with opportunities to supervise and delegate care. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on day shifts. Weekly pay ranges from $2,140 to $2,223.

Requirements

Current Washington State RN licensure
BLS (Healthcare Provider) within 30 days of hire
ACLS required within 6 months of hire
PALS or PEARS within 6 months of hire
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Minimum of 1 year RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments
Ability to perform the full scope of RN responsibilities, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
Total Joint Program requirements: 4 hours of orientation training and 4 hours of annual training

Nice To Haves

CPAN certification preferred
Acute care RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments and data collection focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
Deliver care using the Nursing Process, adhering to predetermined procedures, policies, and care plans.
Identify learning needs of patients/significant others and provide defined patient teaching.
Document care in the chart via electronic medical records and/or paper processes per policy and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrate appropriate delegation of patient care activities and supervise assigned staff.
May function as Charge Nurse, coordinating patient assignment, admits/discharges/transfers, and staffing coverage as needed.
Maintain safety, infection control, and adherence to facility policies; uphold patient/family rights and dignity.
Ensure professional growth and competency with ongoing education and safety practices.
