About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) located in Marysville, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026. The role involves providing nursing care for post-anesthesia patients in an inpatient, acute care environment. The shift is evenings on a 4x10 schedule, with an estimated weekly pay range of $2,256 to $2,434. There are no guaranteed hours for this assignment.

Requirements

Active RN license (state of practice per assignment)
PACU/perioperative nursing experience is preferred
Ability to work evenings on a 4x10 schedule
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills for collaboration with the care team
Competence with the nursing process, patient assessment, and discharge planning
Eligibility to participate in a travel assignment and adapt to a hospital-based PACU environment

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for post-anesthesia patients, using the nursing process to develop and implement a plan of care
Monitor and document patient status, manage airway and respiratory status, and recognize/respond to post-operative changes
Administer prescribed medications and interventions within scope of practice and unit protocols
Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and the broader health care team to coordinate delivery of care
Support teaching and discharge planning needs as part of the overall care plan
Delegate appropriate tasks to other licensed and unlicensed staff according to competency and scope of practice
Deliver care across patient age ranges as assigned by the unit, from neonatal to geriatric, depending on unit needs
