About The Position

This travel assignment is for a Registered Nurse – PACU in Lodi, California. Start date 09/07/2026 for an eight-week engagement, with a weekly pay range of $1,950–$2,106 and guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shifts are day shifts on a 5x8 schedule. The role is located in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting and involves coordinating post-anesthesia care for patients, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote safe recovery.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in California (CA RN)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
At least two years of recent nursing experience in PACU or acute care
Ability to work in a fast-paced PACU environment within a short-term acute care hospital setting

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for postoperative patients in PACU according to established standards and the nursing process
Monitor patient status, including airway, breathing, circulation, pain, and vitals; intervene per protocol as needed
Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate delivery of care with anesthesia and perioperative teams
Administer medications and provide patient/family education related to recovery, discharge planning, and safety
Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff across various levels; delegate tasks appropriately
Document care, assessments, treatments, and discharge instructions accurately in the patient record
Collaborate with the care team to maintain a safe, healing environment and ensure smooth transitions to post-anesthesia care or discharge
