About The Position
This is a travel Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Operating Room (OR) located in Atlanta, Georgia. The assignment is for a 13-week temporary contract, starting on 09/21/2026. Requirements
- Active RN license (state requirements as applicable)
- OR nursing experience with competency in neuro and vascular procedures; high rating on skills checklist
- Proficiency with Outlook, Workday, and Shift Wizard; ability to access these apps on electronic devices
- Availability for call, weekends, and holidays as required by the assignment
Nice To Haves
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care for surgical patients, including preoperative briefings, patient positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling.
- Serve as circulating or scrub nurse as assigned, providing support to the surgical team throughout procedures.
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; manage vital signs and respond to anesthesia-related events.
- Maintain the sterile field, perform instrument counts, and ensure equipment and supplies are prepared and available; troubleshoot intraoperative issues.
- Communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and postoperative teams; document perioperative care and patient outcomes.
