About The Position

This posting supports all new grad Registered Nursing positions at Sentara RMH Medical Center, Harrisonburg, Virginia. It covers all statuses, shifts, and units currently placing new graduate Registered Nurses. Sentara offers a Nurse Residency Program for newly graduated Registered Nurses with less than 12 months of experience, providing skills and support for a successful transition into professional practice. The program includes 6 months of hands-on experience with trained preceptors in Medical-Surgical, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency, Operating Room, and Women's Health. Topics covered include career pathing, professional development, leadership, self-care, and stress management. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Current Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain one
• Graduating soon or graduated with less than one year of RN practice

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• Participate in the Nurse Residency Program for professional development.
• Gain hands-on experience in various clinical areas.
• Engage in topics such as career pathing, leadership, and stress management.
