About The Position

This is a traveling Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity specializing in Neurology (Neuro) in Rochester, New York. The assignment is for a hospital-based neuro telemetry unit and is a temporary travel assignment. The contract duration is 17 weeks, with a start date of 09/28/2026. The role involves providing direct nursing care for adult neuro patients on telemetry, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation. Responsibilities also include conducting neurologic checks, monitoring telemetry data, administering medications, managing seizure precautions, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and responding to changes in patient condition.

Requirements

Active RN license in New York state (only NY licenses accepted at this time)
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Telemetry experience required
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
NIHSS certification
Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts in a hospital environment

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care for adult neuro patients on telemetry, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation
Conduct neurologic checks, monitor telemetry data, and participate in continuous EEG/monitoring as applicable
Administer medications, perform treatments per orders, and manage seizure precautions and seizure precautions protocol
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and contribute to care plans and patient education
Respond to changes in patient condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and ensure patient and family safety and support
