About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position in the MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit) located in Lawrenceville, GA. The assignment is temporary, starting on 09/14/2026 and lasting for 16 weeks. The role involves providing direct patient care for critically ill adults in a hospital setting, managing ICU monitoring systems, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. The shift is 12-hour nights on a 12x3 schedule.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MICU/Medical ICU nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet holiday coverage requirements
• Comfortable performing in a high-acuity ICU environment in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for critically ill adults in the MICU, including monitoring and responding to rapid changes in status.
• Manage ICU monitoring systems, ventilated patients, and hemodynamic parameters; administer medications and fluids per physician orders.
• Initiate and assist with ICU procedures appropriate to a MICU setting; ensure sterile technique and safety.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, document findings, and communicate with the multi-disciplinary team for planning and handoffs.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements; maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
