About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position for a Medical Surgical unit in Cumming, Georgia. The assignment is for 16 weeks, with a start date of 09/27/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care, monitoring patient status, administering medications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, performing basic procedures, maintaining accurate records, and responding to emergencies. The position is hospital-based and requires flexibility in scheduling, including holiday coverage.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Georgia
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg nursing experience
• Required: AHA BLS and NIH Certification
• Schedule flexibility to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM; varies)
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment location
• Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment and collaborate with a diverse care team

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
• Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and response to treatments; administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient education
• Perform basic procedures within Med Surg scope (e.g., wound care, IV management, post-procedure care) and ensure infection control and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely charting in the electronic medical record; report changes in patient condition promptly
• Respond to emergencies and prioritize patient needs during high-acuity periods, while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care
