About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg unit at a Short Term Acute Care Hospital in Ukiah, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 10/05/2026. The position involves providing coordinated nursing care, developing and implementing care plans, monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Extension opportunities may be available.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California required)
• BLS/CPR required
• ACLS required
• Minimum two years of recent acute care experience
• Ability to work in a high-acuity med/surg setting
• Ability to work night shift and weekend rotation
• Demonstrate critical thinking and independent judgment
• Maintain a safe and compliant practice environment

Nice To Haves

• PALS preferred (or optional for first contract but must be attained if extending)
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients using established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Collect relevant data, analyze information, and develop a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes.
• Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery with other disciplines, and promote a safe, healing environment; reassess and adjust as needed.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications and therapies, and document care accurately; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team; provide education and learning opportunities to patients and family members.
