About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit at a general acute care hospital in Fort Bragg, California. The assignment requires 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts on a 3x12 schedule, starting on 10/12/2026. Requirements

Ability to deliver coordinated nursing care on a general acute care med-surg unit with a mixed medical/surgical patient population (approx. 65% medical or 65% surgical).
Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and thorough documentation across shifts and disciplines.
Availability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 3x12 schedule and to commence on 10/12/2026.
Willingness to participate in a travel assignment for a 13-week term and to meet assignment requirements.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients using the nursing process and established standards of care.
Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
Provide clinical assessment, administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitor patient status, and document progress accurately.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
Maintain patient safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance; communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes within a general acute care med/surg setting.
