About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical care, specifically focusing on the Respiratory unit in Zanesville, Ohio. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of October 19, 2026. The role involves providing direct patient care, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and interpreting telemetry. The nurse will be expected to document accurately in the Epic EMR and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. There is a possibility of floating to other Med-Surg areas as needed, while maintaining quality and safety standards. The position requires adherence to infection control practices and patient safety protocols.

Requirements

Active Ohio RN license
BLS certification
Epic EMR proficiency (refresher courses or one-on-one sit-time are not acceptable options)
Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience; must be able to read Telemetry and will be tested on day one
Night shift availability: 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; every other weekend required; no call required
Ability to work in a respiratory care environment with appropriate PPE and infection control measures
Start date: October 19, 2026; 13-week assignment; 36 guaranteed hours

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care on the Respiratory unit and in Med-Surg areas as assigned
Administer medications, monitor vitals, provide oxygen therapy, and interpret telemetry
Document accurately in Epic EMR and maintain competency in charting and telemetry interpretation
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate per protocol or supervisor guidance
Float to other Med-Surg units as needed while maintaining quality and safety standards
Uphold infection control practices and patient safety, including privacy and comfort needs
