About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a Med Surg Tele unit in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The role involves providing direct nursing care to adult patients, with a focus on geriatrics and behavioral concerns. The unit is an 8-bed facility with an approximate 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a shift of 3x12 nights. The weekly pay ranges from $2,505 to $2,635.

Requirements

• Certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Onboarding tests: complete dysrhythmia and medication proficiency assessments; tests administered via Zoom-based proctoring prior to assignment; one attempt allowed; minimum passing score 85%
• Onboarding timing: RN testers must participate within 48 hours of offer
• Shift readiness: ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by the unit
• Ability to work in a Med Surg Tele setting with geriatric patients who may have dementia, confusion, or behavioral disturbances

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a Med Surg Tele unit with geriatrics and behavioral concerns
• Monitor telemetry and vital signs; identify and respond to dysrhythmias and other acute events
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders; monitor for therapeutic and adverse effects
• Collaborate with CNAs and the broader healthcare team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective care transitions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
• Participate in unit-based on-boarding requirements and complete required tests per policy
