About The Position
This is a temporary assignment in a general care setting for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical Telemetry. The role involves a float pool assignment, requiring flexibility to work on Med Surg Telemetry floors as needed. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with a start date of 10/05/2026. The position offers guaranteed hours and requires working rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to pass Telemetry Competency Exam
- Must be able to float to Med Surg Telemetry floors and overflow areas
- Onboarding requires pass ECG/Telemetry test with an 85% passing score on the first attempt
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for Med Surg Telemetry patients, including ongoing assessment and documentation
- Monitor telemetry data, respond to rhythm changes, and administer medications per orders
- Perform basic nursing procedures (IV therapy, wound care, patient education) and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and update care plans; ensure patient safety and comfort
- Float to overflow and related Med Surg Telemetry areas as required; adhere to unit standards and policies
