About The Position

This is a temporary travel assignment in a hospital setting for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical Telemetry. The role involves providing direct nursing care to adult patients, monitoring telemetry data, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The position requires flexibility to float to related units and overflow areas as needed, especially during high-demand periods. Onboarding includes specific telemetry competency and ECG/telemetry assessments.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry experience
ACLS and BLS certifications that are current
Ability to pass Telemetry competency exam and ECG/telemetry test during onboarding (85% passing score, one attempt)
Nursing degree from an accredited program; eligible for licensure in MA
Ability to work a night shift schedule, including weekends and holidays
Ability to float to similar units and overflow areas

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on the medical-surgical telemetry floor, including rhythm monitoring and patient assessments.
Interpret telemetry data, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in patient condition per protocol.
Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and perform basic nursing procedures within scope of practice.
Document care accurately in the electronic medical record; communicate changes to the care team and participate in care planning.
Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other health professionals to coordinate patient care; contribute to safe patient handoffs.
Float to related units and overflow areas as needed; support unit operations during high-demand periods.
