About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Long Term Care will provide services in the long-term care division, which includes three units: long-term care, short-stay, and hospice/palliative care residents. This role is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on age-specific components. Responsibilities include patient activities of daily living, assessments, medication administration, procedures per established policies and guidelines, ion administration, IV therapy, interdisciplinary team coordination, admissions and discharges, internal and external transfers, delegating to assistive personnel, electronic medical record documentation, patient transport, and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

  • Completed courses for nursing from an accredited program approved by either the Commission for Education in Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
  • A current license in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth in the US or the District of Columbia.
  • A minimum of three years' direct patient care experience.
  • Must have Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities
