About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Long Term Care shall provide services in the long-term care division comprised of 3 long-term care units: long-term, short-stay, hospice/palliative care residents. Shall be responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. The Registered Nurse - LTC shall assess plans implements and evaluates care based on age-specific components. Shall be responsible for patient activities of daily living, assessments, medication, administering medication and procedures per established policies and guidelines, ion administration, IV therapy, interdisciplinary team coordination, admissions, and discharges, internal and external transfers, delegating to assistive personnel, electronic medical record documentation, patient transport, and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

  • Completed courses for nursing from an accredited program approved by either the Commission for Education in Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
  • A current license in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth in the US or the District of Columbia.
  • A minimum of three years' direct patient care experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
