About The Position
This travel assignment is for a high-risk perinatal care unit within a hospital setting. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, including managing high-risk antepartum conditions and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The position requires proficiency in electronic charting and patient education.
Requirements
- Current RN license in WA or compact RN license in hand at submission
- BLS (BCLS), ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate OR Relias Fetal Monitoring certifications
- Minimum 2 years clinical RN experience in labor and delivery or high-risk perinatal care
- First-time travel RNs accepted; experience with facilities handling 200+ deliveries preferred; 100–200 deliveries acceptable
- Ability to work in a high-risk perinatal environment; float to postpartum as needed
- 40 hours of onboarding/orientation prior to start
- Epic charting experience or training; compact license must be in hand at submission

Responsibilities
- Provide intrapartum care with 1:1 labor management and continuous fetal monitoring as needed
- Assist and circulate for cesarean deliveries; manage postpartum recovery and neonatal transition
- Deliver newborn care including newborn assessment and thermoregulation; support breastfeeding
- Monitor and manage high-risk antepartum conditions (e.g., preeclampsia, magnesium sulfate protocols) and respond to obstetric emergencies
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Interpreters)
- Document in Epic; participate in ongoing patient and family education and discharge planning
