About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at an inpatient facility. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The position requires critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Accurate documentation, patient safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance are essential. The nurse will also support smooth shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

Ability to deliver coordinated nursing care per established standards and the nursing process.
Supervisory skills to direct the activities of nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines.
Strong critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in clinical practice.
Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to work nights and 12-hour shifts in an inpatient labor and delivery setting.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance.
