Requirements

  • Availability to work Nights (3x12-hour shifts) for a 14-week travel assignment starting 09/14/2026.
  • Current RN license in California or eligibility to practice per state requirements.
  • Ability to provide care in a labor and delivery/ obstetric setting in a high-acuity environment.
  • Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adapt to varying unit needs.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills to coordinate care across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients in L&D according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
  • Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
  • Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in daily patient care.
  • Monitor maternal-fetal status, administer medications as prescribed, perform thorough patient assessments, and document findings accurately.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and adjust an individualized plan of care; participate in shift handoffs and care conferences.
  • Support calming, patient- and family-centered care during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases within scope of practice.
