About The Position

This travel temporary assignment supports an ICU unit within a healthcare setting. The position includes potential float to multiple ICU areas as needed and requires compliance with unit policies and procedures. The work setting includes ICU unit with Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma coverage; floating to other ICU areas as needed.

Requirements

Active New York RN license
Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications
NIHSS certification
Nursys license verification showing ACTIVE NY license and all active RN licenses
2+ years ICU experience required; 4–5 years preferred; travel experience documented
EPIC EMR experience
Driver’s license with address that matches demographics
RTO (Reasonable Time Off) must be requested at submission

Responsibilities

Deliver direct critical care nursing to adult ICU patients, monitoring hemodynamics and respiratory status
Manage ventilator settings and support, and oversee CRRT/Prismaflex therapies as applicable
Administer prescribed medications, including vasoactive infusions, and monitor neuro status and neurologic events
Perform neuro-critical care procedures when required (ICP monitoring, ventriculostomy management) and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
Develop and update individualized care plans, document in the electronic health record, and ensure care coordination and patient safety
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and support staff; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Float to Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma units as needed to meet unit needs and staffing
