About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse (RN) assignment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in The Dalles, OR. The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks, with a start date of 09/21/2026. The role involves delivering coordinated ICU nursing care, monitoring patient status, developing and adjusting care plans, administering medications, managing ICU equipment, and documenting care. The nurse will also supervise and direct nursing staff, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and participate in discharge planning and patient/family education. The setting is a Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (Oregon) – Required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; CPR certification or equivalent – Required.
At least two years of recent nursing experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced ICU environment.
Vaccination requirements and E-Verify compliance per organizational policy.
Current nursing license valid in the state of practice.

Nice To Haves

ICU/acute care experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated ICU nursing care for an assigned patient group according to established standards and the nursing process.
Monitor patient status, interpret data, identify deterioration, and implement appropriate interventions.
Develop and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team, with emphasis on patient safety and outcomes.
Administer medications, manage ICU equipment, and document care accurately and succinctly.
Supervise and direct activities of licensed and unlicensed nursing staff; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Participate in discharge planning, patient/family education, and ongoing learning opportunities for the patient and care team.
